Editorial, Verification & Correction Standards
In short
This page explains where our property and locality information comes from, what each verification badge actually means, how often we re-check listings, and how to get something corrected.
Where our information comes from
Property information on this site comes from three places, and we treat them differently:
- Owners and property representatives. Price, size, dimensions, age, approvals and availability are supplied by the person offering the property. We record them as stated, not as verified fact.
- Our own site visits. Where we have visited a property ourselves, we can confirm what we saw: photographs matching the property, the location, road access and condition.
- Public records and published sources. For locality context — approvals, civic information and similar — where these are available.
Locality guides are written from our own experience of visiting properties in those areas, and are reviewed when something material changes.
What our verification badges mean
A badge appears on a listing only when the corresponding check has actually been completed and recorded by a member of our team. An absent badge means the check has not been done — not that the property failed it.
| Badge | What it means | What it does not mean |
|---|---|---|
| Photos Verified | Someone from Find My Property has confirmed the photographs are of this property. | That the photographs are recent, or that nothing has changed since. |
| Location Verified | We have confirmed the property is where the listing says it is. | An exact surveyed boundary. |
| Availability Verified | Availability was confirmed with the owner or representative on the date shown. | That it is still available today. |
| Broker Verified | We have confirmed the identity and contact details of the representative offering it. | Any endorsement of their conduct. |
| Documents Provided | Copies of stated documents have been shared with us. | That we have legally examined or validated them. |
| Site Visit Completed | A member of our team has physically visited the property. | A structural or legal survey. |
We do not carry out legal title verification, structural surveys or valuations. Those require qualified professionals, and you should engage them independently before any transaction.
How often we re-check listings
Every listing records when it was last updated and, separately, when it was last verified. Internally we flag listings as Recently Verified, Verification Due or Potentially Stale based on how long it has been since the last check, and we work through the queue. A verification date shown on a listing is a real date on which a real check happened.
Property markets move. If a listing looks out of date to you, it may well be — tell us and we will check it.
How we use our own data
Where this site shows price figures — averages, ranges, price per square foot — those are derived from the properties actually listed with Find My Property at the time the page was generated. They describe our inventory, not the whole Mysore market, and we say so on the page. We do not publish market indices, growth rates or transaction volumes that we cannot derive from our own records.
How guides are written and reviewed
Property guides are written by named people on our team from direct experience, reviewed before publication, and updated when something changes. Each guide shows its published and last-updated dates. Where a guide gives a rule of thumb, we say it is a rule of thumb. Where a question needs a professional, we say so rather than guessing.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong — a price, a specification, an approval status, a claim in a guide, or anything else — tell us and we will look into it.
- Email info@findmyproperty.online with the page URL or Property ID.
- Or WhatsApp our contact number.
We aim to acknowledge corrections within one working day. If we got something wrong, we fix it and update the page's last-updated date. If we cannot verify a claimed correction, we will tell you that rather than change it quietly.
